šŸ‘™šŸ‘™Is It Fair or Not? Woman Denied Boarding for Wearing a BikinišŸ‘‡šŸ‘‡

Brazilian model and cosplayer Kine-Chan dressed up as Rebecca, a character from the anime series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners (2022), wearing a black bikini, a blue wig, and black sandals to attend an event. Afterward, she headed to Navegantes Airport in Brazil to catch a flight. According to her, airline staff denied herĀ boardingĀ due to what they deemed ā€œinappropriateā€ attire.

Kine-Chan shared the incident on Instagram, where she detailed the situation and her reasoning for wearing theĀ costume. ā€œA very annoying situation happened this weekend,ā€ she wrote. ā€œI tried to board at Navegantes Airport dressed in Rebecca’s cosplay for an event. I already knew I might be running late, so I wore the costume to save time and head straight to my room. But I was told to go home and change because what I had on was not considered ā€˜appropriate’.ā€

Her post quickly attracted mixed reactions in the comments. Some users felt the outfit was too revealing forĀ airportĀ travel. One follower commented, ā€œKine, I love you, but you could’ve worn something easy to slip on—like a wrap dress or even a button-down shirt.ā€

Others defended her right to express herself through cosplay. ā€œIt’s truly disappointing the airport barred you, a talented artist, over a cosplay as incredible as Rebecca’s,ā€ another fan wrote. ā€œFreedom of expression and creativity should be respected.ā€
